Frequently Asked Questions
Everything below reflects how we actually ship, guarantee, and use our products. If your question isn't here, email support@rousseauplant.care — a real person on our Atlanta team will answer.
Shipping & delivery
When do you ship?
Plants ship Monday and Tuesday, so they arrive before the weekend instead of sitting in a facility. Plants ordered after Tuesday ship the following week. Grow lights and accessories ship Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
How are plants shipped?
In their nursery pots. A plant should be shocked as little as possible on its way to a new home, so we don't bare-root or repot before shipping. Default service is USPS Priority, with expedited options at checkout.
Why does my order say "made to order" or "ships in 1–3 weeks"?
Some items — wall mounts, certain poles, and small-batch pieces — are built by hand in our Atlanta studio rather than pulled from a shelf. The 1–3 week window is the time to make and finish your piece. Everything in stock ships on the schedule above.
Do you ship outside the US?
We ship across the United States, and select items to Canada. Availability depends on the product and your region — if something can ship to your address, you'll be able to add it to your cart and check out.
Grow lights: warranty, returns & support
What's your grow light guarantee?
Three layers, and they matter:
- 90-day returns. Return any grow light within 90 days for a refund of the original cost. Email support@rousseauplant.care to start it; return shipping is covered by the buyer.
- 5-year warranty. LEDs fail at an industry rate of about 0.2–3%. We screen before shipping, but if one slips through we send a replacement with a return label. Most failures happen in the first 12 months — we cover you for five years.
- Lifetime support. Our lights are designed to be repaired, refurbished, and upgraded. After the 5-year warranty, we repair any broken light at cost. These are built to grow plants for a very long time.
Is shipping free on grow lights?
Yes. If checkout ever shows otherwise, send us a screenshot and we'll fix it.
Plants & drops
Why are so many plants sold out?
Our plants are seed-grown Anthuriums we breed and select in-house, released in limited, intentional drops — not a standing catalog. Each drop is a specific batch of strong, healthy plants. When a batch sells, that listing stays up so you can read its lineage and care profile, and you can sign up to be notified about the next drop.
What are Standouts and Keepers?
Within a seed family, some plants grow faster, larger, or show exceptional traits — we call those Standouts. Keepers are the best selections, originally chosen for our own breeding program, that we occasionally offer. Both are one-of-a-kind by nature.
What if my plant arrives damaged?
Shipping carriers don't always respect "fragile." On rare occasions a plant arrives damaged, and most bounce back with normal care. Because a plant's condition after it leaves our hands is outside our control, we don't offer refunds or returns for plants damaged in transit once the package is released to the carrier. If something looks seriously wrong on arrival, email us with photos — we'll help you get it settled in.
My new plant dropped a leaf or has yellowing — is it dying?
Usually not. A plant spends its first few weeks adjusting to your light, humidity, and watering rhythm, and it may shed an older leaf while it settles. Give it steady conditions before changing anything. Our care guides walk through what's normal and what isn't.
Using your products
How do the drippers and moss poles work together?
The dripper sits on top and releases water slowly so it soaks the whole pole evenly instead of running straight through. It's controlled hydration, not automation. You can stack up to about three poles under one dripper depending on your setup. See the moss pole guide for assembly and extension.
Orders, support & wholesale
How do I get help with an order?
Email support@rousseauplant.care or use our contact form. We're a small team and we answer directly.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes — we work with plant shops, interiorscapers, and retailers. Tell us about your business at support@rousseauplant.care and we'll send terms.
Do you have an affiliate program?
We do, and we'd rather invest in growers than in ads. If you create plant content and use our products, reach out — we'll share how it works.
